Choosing the Right Affiliate Marketing Program
Friday, November 6th, 2009If you’ve done any investigation at all of Web marketing, you’ll know plenty of rip-offs abound. Unfortunately, marketers with no scruples take advantage of the multitudes of people looking for the means to quit their jobs by making money on the Internet. It’s very sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to get involved with scams or at least bad business ideas that line marketers’ pockets and leave buyers with nothing. Fortunately, methods abound for making money online with no money required. This will probably come as a revelation to those who have had run-ins with Web scheme run by rip-off artists!
But the line between scam and just an ill-advised business opportunity can sometimes be thin. An example of this is the controversy over an online business opportunity named Site Build It. Some people think that one or more people have created a review of Site Build It that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he might be right about his product being on the up-and-up. But it would be up to any potential buyer to do his or her own research.
One of the main ways I like to make money on the Internet is totally above-board and is also relatively easy. I make money with HubPages. HubPages — a group blogging site — makes it simple to create content and generate ad revenue. The number of HubPages “hubs” (pages) you create is up to you. Each hub has the potential to make up to five forms of revenue: Amazon and eBay items, any affiliate marketing program you want to implement, Google AdSense ads and Kontera ads. You get the revenue from 60 percent of the page views that generate income and the people who own HubPages get 40 percent. Affiliate programs are an exception to that rule though; you get 100% of any income generated by someone clicking on an affiliate link. Creating solid hubs takes a bit of practice but the money you can generate over time makes it worth it.
One of the affiliate marketing programs I like to use on my hubs is RevResponse, because it provides credible free information for people. When anyone clicks on your links and qualifies to receive free RevResponse publications or white papers, you benefit financially. That’s all there is to it. Qualifying is not a shoe-in though, so that aspect is important to understand. To get more details about the rules, read this RevResponse affiliate review. It will help you determine whether signing up is worth your time.
