Links to Your Blog

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

I’ve just discovered a blogging tool Blog Hatter but noticed that there’s something else that it does not cover. Link building is one of many tasks you want to distribute time to when you’re promoting on the web. And what business isn’t marketing online nowadays? Link building alludes to both inbound links and your internal linking structure. This article will provide you with some of the link building guidelines to get you moving in the correct direction.

First off, before you even put your link building strategy into place, you need to be sure you are supplying top-notch quality and information on your website. This is the foundation that holds it all together. Fascinating and educational content will bring more links to your blog naturally, without you having to go out looking for them.

Make use of blog directories. There are quite a few blog directories where you can pick up a link to your blog. Simply to mention some. BlogHer is more geared towards girls and BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog also include a social side to them. These can provide you with many paths to increase the number of incoming links to your blog just by registering.

When you have a good amount of motivating content released on your blog, approach other bloggers with equal or more authority than your blog ( you’ll have to find this out by using diverse tools ) and suggest a blogrooll reciprocal link. Its better to do this ( one ) when your blogs are relevant to each other and ( 2 ) when you have already been in touch with your potential link partner.

This is one of the finest link building tips : Write an article on another site that permits guests. Just make sure that you add content to blogs that are higher ranked than yours.

Holding blog contests is a really effective way to push traffic to your blog and increase your amount of inward links. How does one do this? You can actually pitch your blog contest on a selection of blog contest promotion sites. You can even “bribe” competitors with additional entries if they write an article on their blog which links back to your article about the competition.

Create other content that links to your blog or create another blog that links to your blog. And the secret to meaking the maximum of this other content is to comment on folks’s content. When you comment, ensure that you include the link back to your blog. It’s important to recollect that your comments should be informative and engaging, not just spamming others with your link.

Joining forums is a good way to commence building relationships with people and getting your blog spotted. Just make sure you include your blog url in your profile and signature.

Similarly, participating in social marketing websites like Facebook allows you more occasions to
Make your blog more visible. You will most probably include the link to your blog in the profile areas.

Hopefully these link building tips will be handy for you and your business and help you to make money online.

Use WordPress For Building Static Websites

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

For years I considered WordPress to be a great program for publishing blogs. It never crossed my mind to use it for making websites. For regular websites, you use HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and/or CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). Right? Not necessarily. After doing some research, I found that WordPress is a amazing platform to build great looking websites fast, easy and cheap!

Why would you use WordPress to build a website? Well, I can think of three good reasons:

  • Ease of Use - WordPress is one of the simplest and most user friendly programs available today. You don’t need expert knowledge, such as HTML or CSS, to build a website with WordPress.
  • Built-in Tools - All the tools you need to build your website are included with the software. Tools such as page editor, Search Engine Optimization, embedded video and audio, e-commerce, and an incredible array of tools available via plug-ins make this program a very formidable one.
  • Search Engine Friendliness – Search engines such as Google love blogs because of the “freshness” of the information. With all the available plugins for SEO, you can optimize your website without any knowledge of SEO.

If your knowledge of HTML/CSS is partial, or if you are annoyed with having to spend endless hours lining up text and pictures, you may want to consider using WordPress for building your next website.

You can have a WordPress website installed, optimized and running in about a day. Yes, a day. And I am not talking about a one page site, I am talking about a 10 page website.

In addition to the ease of installation and setup, you can add a lot of extra functionality to your website through the use of plugins. Plugins are small scripts (most of them free) that add specific functionality to your website. Functionality such as SEO optimization, form creation, automatic backup of the website, automatic updates, e-commerce (shopping carts for products and services), etc. The list is endless.

A website’s ranking can be helped when you add a blog. When you build a website using WordPress, you have your blog “built-in.” All you have to do is include a tab on your website and you are ready to go. Start adding good and relevant articles to your blog, and with the help of pinging and SEO plugins, you will have your site indexed and ranking in no time.

Next time you are in a hurry to put up a website, you may want to consider using WordPress. You will love it. If you want to get more information, check out my WordPress website building tips. Good Luck.

Benefits of Using WordPress

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Many people resist things they don't understand and that's how I felt about WordPress for many years. As I began making more blog posts, I could see an increase in my sales. I became a convert.

WordPress Is Search Engine Friendly

Search engines love WordPress and there’s a good reason for that.  The WordPress developers went to the big search engines and asked them what they could do to make a search engine friendly product.Because of that, search engines are able to easily crawl WordPress blogs to index your content.Search engines especially love sites with original content.

Pinging Your Blog

Pinging is by far one of the best features of a WordPress because it tells a web blog tracking system that your blog has been updated.Pinging services are to blogs what search engine spiders are to websites.Pining is the fastest way to get your blog crawled and indexed.Find as many pinging services as you can because the more your blog is broadcast, the more visitors you'll get.The URLs of the pinging services can be entered in the WordPress Settings - Writing - Update Services box.

Switching Themes Is Easy

After having developed many traditional HTML websites of my own, changing the design and layout is a major undertaking, yet one that needs to be done from time to time.Unfortunately, it's easy to break funtionality in the process.

WordPress makes it very easy to switch themes without affecting the data.A theme is like fancy widow dressing around your blog. The blog's posts, pages, and category content is stored in the database and will remain unchanged. Only the window dressing changes.WordPress is especially fun because you can change themes around major holidays or events.

Make Your Own WordPress Themes

Developing your own WordPress themes is fun and easy with theme development software like Artisteer.  Artisteer can also make themes for other popular CMS applications.Ever wish you could hide the sidebars completely or move them from left to right?Want a different font?Or perhaps make a theme with rounded corners verses square?  Here are two blogs I made with Artisteer, one about scented candles and the other about strength training. If you don't like a "bloggy" look, you can also make a WordPress blog look like a standard website with the help of a few plugins.

If you haven’t already given WordPress a try, I encourage you to do so.If you can click on icons to run other popular software programs, you can use WordPress.

Customize Your WordPress Dashboard

Blogging is a great way to make money online even if you’re totally new. If you’re new to blogging and yet want to start quickly, there are several business models you can try for maximum results in a short time. This article discussed the three most popular methods.

The first method is get paid to blog. Using this method, you create your blog and add a few good articles to it. Then you signup with paid blogging networks like Pay Per Post or Review Me and see what “opportunities” are available. These networks are filled with advertisers looking for blogger who can help them spread the word, and they are willing to pay. Accept the opportunity, write about it on your blog, and you get paid.

The second method is WordPress blogs for AdSense and it requires a little more technical know-how. You need to build a WordPress blog on a specific niche topic, and start writing some good content on it. Once you’re done, leave comments on other blogs to get some important one-way links. The objective is to get more traffic who will click on your AdSense ads and make you money.

The third and most sophisticated method is affiliate marketing with WordPress blogs. Again, you set-up a good WordPress blog but with this model the amount of content you publish is not as important as the “selling quality” of the content. Each post you write must pre-sell the web visitor and convince him to click on your affiliate links. When the visitor makes a purchase online after that, you get credited for the sale and earn commissions.

Ultimately, which model you choose depends on how much time and resources you can dedicate to creating and managing your blogs. If you’re new, you should choose a low-investment model and compensate by spendingmore time on it. When you get the hang of it, you can venture into other blogging models as well.

A Few Reasons Why You Should Be Using Wordpress

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

There are many different blogging platforms available to todays budding blogger. Blogspot, Squidoo, LiveJournal, Wordpress and many others all seem to boast similar features at face value.

With all the available blogging platforms, deciding which will meet your blogging needs can be a daunting task. However, most professional bloggers name Wordpress as their “blog of choice”.

Like most other blogging platforms, Wordpress is free. It stands out from it’s competitors for other reasons, such as a higher storage allowance (a quite huge 3 gigs) Also, unlike most other blogging platforms, Wordpress has the option of allowing you to install it on your own personal website. Should you install Wordpress on your own domain, which isn’t necessary but is recommended, you’ll have complete control over it and you are given all the bandwidth your internet hosting plan allows. That already generous 3 gig limit then become limitless!

It’s common for blogging platforms to let their users host images, but Wordpress has another benefit in that as well as hosting images, you can also host other types of files, such as PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Open Office files, and PDFs.

A further benefit of Wordpress over other blogging platforms is it’s open-sourced nature. This allows for limitless flexibility. This reason alone has drawn in many users that previously used the other platforms. Appearance and widgets can be customized completely, allowing you to create your version of a definitive blogging experience for your visitors.

Lets review the benefits of Wordpress over other blogging platforms. We see that we have the option to house the blog on our own sever. We have the ability to host a variety of files on our blogs, and the the limitless flexibility afforded by its open source nature. If you haven’t already started using Wordpress, then now is the time to start!

This is a guest post by Matthew Wolfe. He teaches entreprenuers how to create blogs, generate traffic, and make money with his free video tutorials at The Wordpress Classroom. You can also find out more about Matthew, as well as learn more tips and tricks at his personal blog, MatthewWolfe.com.

Stay Connected With A Blog

Friday, September 25th, 2009

It was a few years ago that I first decided to create a blog to learn how to how to make money from home using websites. Back then, the main thing I did was to mostly use the blog as a way to keep up with friends. You basically need to have a blog if you want to have any chance of keeping in touch with anyone. People and events move on so fast that it has make letters and phone calls quickly becoming more and more forgotten. Even e-mails are starting to go that way – at least from the perspective of keeping up with you friends.

Creating a blog has many advantages over these other forms of traditional communication. One of the biggest ones is that if you have some news to announce, you can give it to everyone at once. The blog once created, enable you to not repeat the same thing over and over again to people.Everyone can read the content at the comfort of their home.

People create their online presence for different reasons.Right now, people go online is mainly for networking reason.  However, there are some there focus on very specific reason. This can be due to the reasons that some people like niche topic.  Such blogs could be tie to topic such as current affairs, dancing, music etc, or even about David Beckham.

Even you got nothing to write about, you may still want to have a blog just to be in touch with the people around you.  This can help you to be on par with what is going on in the world. And the best way to do this is to become part of the game, a blogger yourself.  This way you can communicate with other bloggers and exchange information.  You can also learn how to make money on blogging with internet marketing affiliate program

BREAKING NEWS: A message for all Wordpress Bloggers

About me

I am self educated and have closely followed the evolution of Internet Marketing for just over five years. I get tens of questions on my blog every day from Internet marketers of all levels of experience. Naturally my work gives me a modest ’salary’ but I have a serious reason for doing what I do and this is to help people who are genuinely trying to generate cash to support them selves and their dependents.

Sadly a substantial number of Internet Marketing content and tools I evaluate doesn’t do what it says on the ‘tin’. Until now I have focused publishing my discoveries to a small group of websites because their owners have been very supportive in assisting me with my testing.

Over Six hundred products tested

The total number of ‘products’ I have tested over five years is just north of 600, naturally I will only be writing about products that are still for sale. I have tested all of the products I review and whilst in some cases I know the authors personally this doesn’t divert me from telling what I really think about what works well and what doesn’t in each product.

Easy to use and organised directory

I am determined that everyone makes the journey to blog gets some help so I am making sure that every ‘product’ summary is categorised in terms of what they can expect to spend, the level of experience they will need, how much time they should spend and how long it usually take to see some results.

First Review - The ‘blueprint’ for Wordpress blog success

Wordpress Blogs are arguably the simplest way to begin in Internet Marketing so I am going to start with a set of articles about products that can turn these search engine ’attractions’ into income makers. Everyone should have a blog and I am passionate about blogging as a major percentage of my income comes from blogs but and however I am conscious that setting up a blog can be not straightforward so if you join my list I will show you step by step how to do it.

Create once and replicate

I will also share with you a ‘cut and paste’ strategy anyone can use with blogs so once you have created one blog and mastered the art of getting an income from it then you just replicate it over and over again. I have a basic rule of ‘getting a rope across the river’ before commencing on any substantial amount of work so I always commence with constructing a prototype that I develop into a blueprint that I can evaluate, improve and replicate, to do this you have to really understand what products and strategies you need to use.

No bullshit, just answers.

So if you have a Wordpress blog or you need some practical and personal help with your choice of Internet Marketing products then please do join my list at www.backlinksclinic.com.

Integrating Nanacast With Wordpress

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

WordPress is the big name in online content management systems these days, and with good reason:  the interface is easy to use, can be accessed from anywhere, and allows for the quick production of content.

Another trend sweeping the online environment is that of paid memberships to valuable websites.  This system allows for the easy access to and dissemination of valuable content and provides not only the benefit of specialized knowledge to the subscribers, but also a handy income source for the producer. The integration of these two models can often be difficult.  You have to deal with plug-ins, member directories, instituting recurring payment structures, and a whole bunch of other hassles.  That’s where the MemberLock plug-in from Nanacast comes into play.

The biggest selling point of Nanacast’s MemberLock is the first feature you’ll notice:  it works directly “out-of-the-box.”  No fiddling with databases, no modifying your painstakingly designed theme, nothing.  The next big selling point is that the MemberLock plug-in works with your Nanacast account to completely automate the recurring payments to your subscribers.

If a subscriber decides to stop paying, then their account in the MemberLock plug-in is automatically disabled.  This level of systems integration means that all you have to worry about is producing new content and just watch the money roll in.  Also, while we’re on the topic of recurring payments, you can set up the payment schedule and structure in whatever manner you choose.  Want to set up free trial membership for customers who buy one of your other products?Nanacast is able to do it, and nominate specific date ranges for the trial, together with different price points at enrolment.

Last, but certainly not least, is the use of “teasers” in the MemberLock system.  This system allows you to create little teaser sections of your WordPress posts, like the introductory paragraph, and have them accessible to the public.  Then, if the viewer clicks on the “Read More” link, they will be automatically forwarded to your sales letter (with a section for your registered members to log in, of course).  And what shopping cart system will be powering that sales letter?  Nanacast, of course, because this product is one of the first fully integrated delivery and business automation systems ever created.  Whatever you want to do in e-commerce, odds are Nanacast can handle it.

BREAKING NEWS: Calling all Wordpress Blog Owners

About me

I evaluate Internet Marketing strategies and tactics as a full time profession. On average I personally answer around six hundred questions about Internet Marketing through my blog every week. Naturally my work makes me a modest income but I have a genuine reason for doing what I do and this is to help people who are genuinely attempting to make a living to support them selves and their dependents.

In my experience I have encountered a large number of Internet Marketers who look the part on paper but most often don’t deliver what they claim. Until recently the results of my reviews have been posted on a select number of websites whose owners have convinced me to contribute in return for assisting me with my evaluations.

Over Six hundred reviews

Over a five year period I have tested more than 600 products and I will only be publishing reviews on products that are still on the market. I have tested all of the products I review and whilst in some cases I know the authors well this doesn’t divert me from telling what I really think about what is good and what is bad about each product.

Easy to use and organised index

To help you make the decisions that will work best for you I am going to organise the product summaries into a simple and easy to use catalogue and every product will be typed by the level of  skill required, cost, effort and how soon you can expect to see results.

First Edition - The ‘blueprint’ for Wordpress blog success

The first subject I’m going to dive into is Wordpress Blogs as this is not just a great subject for newbies to begin but many blog owners don’t appreciate the opportunities they are missing. Everyone should have a blog and I am passionate about blogging as a major percentage of my income comes from blogs but and however I am fully aware that setting up a blog can be not straightforward so if you join my list I will walk you through step by step how to do it.

Create once and replicate

Blogs are amazing in as much once you get one working properly and earning cash then you simply replicate it. But getting the first blog correct is critical and this is where you need the knowledge about how to design a ‘blueprint blog’ and what Internet Marketing ‘products’ and strategies you should use to build a solid foundation for growth and a regular income.

No bullshit, just answers.

So if you own a Wordpress blog or you need some real assistance with your purchases of Internet Marketing products then please do join my list at www.backlinksclinic.com.
